Scraping the bottom of scrub barrel for arms last night. Hembree was throwing batting practice and Reed got bailed out by the son of Pugsley. Really encouraging to hear that Lux has been attending the Freddie school of hitting. It shows. Not sure what Heaney saw when he fielded that bunt that was obviously going foul. What was disappointing (and you can see it from the home plate camera view) is that Mookie never moved until the ball got past Freeman. No way the runner should have scored on that and no way the hitter should have ended up on third.
@FabianArdaya ·Dave Roberts said the four relievers who pitched tonight were the only four who were available. Was saving Jake Reed for last because he was the only one who he wanted to be available for multiple innings (wouldn’t go second inning on a back to back for Evan Phillips). We were really close to using Hanser in a tight game late...
This fucking guy is going to get call after call from this piece of shit ump in this no hitter he's got going. Like this douche needs help.
Quite honestly, I expect nothing from Bellinger. I expect nothing from Gallo. I expect nothing from Taylor. I expect a little from Muncy, but realistically, not much. That's at least three spots in the lineup, that are, in my mind at least, a small tick above non-contributory. Every night, almost without fail. Just shows you how good the rest have been, I guess.
