I know why they trade away guys like Busch. It's the " embarrassment of riches" mantle the team wears.
No team should be as good as LA.
The only problem is : they ain't that fuckin good.

    R.I.P. Carl Erskine...97 years old.
Thanks for the memories Oisk...and for being a great competitor.
Another one of the Boys of Summer gone.
He might have been the last...

Ha! King had thrown 1-hit shutout ball into the 8th inning for the Padres, then surrendered his second hit and was lifted with two outs and 109 pitches thrown. The runner stole second and then Peralta, whom the Dodgers couldn't touch, gave up an RBI single. Meanwhile, the Brewers pitched a shutout on a bullpen day, and for his great effort King goes home with an L.

    Simply sad.
Truly an end of an era. A time of greatness.

Probably of little import or interest, especially to Dodger fans, but the scummy whore who torpedoed the other scummy whore, Trevor Bauer, was indicted on extortion charges on the 15 th.
    Oh well.

“He’s amazing, an amazing person, an amazing dude, and an amazing player. We can all talk about the bat, but he looks really, really good. He’s a great, great dude, and he fits so well into this clubhouse. I’m so happy for him to see the results.”

    Buehler struggles in latest outing
by Maren Angus | Dodgers Nation — 2 hours ago

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts was hoping Walker Buehler would throw between 80 and 85 pitches Thursday with Triple-A Oklahoma City, but his night was cut short due to command issues.

Buehler was done after just 2.2 innings on Thursday, with only 34 of his 68 pitches landing for strikes. He allowed two runs in the first inning on two walks and two singles.

Buehler finished the night allowing four singles, four walks, and two runs in his 2 2/3 innings and struck out three.

For some perspective on Buehler’s command, the game on Thursday was his first start with a fully automated strike zone. Alex Freedman, the director of communications for Oklahoma City, wrote on his Twitter/X account noting the starting pitcher “had quite a few looks back to the scoreboard at pitch location.”

Buehler’s fastball sat between 94.6 mph and 95.9 mph and got seven swinging strikes on the cutter, but his breaking ball control was questionable; 13 of 15 landed outside the strike zone.

Roberts was optimistic that Buehler would be back with the Dodgers as soon as next week but after four rehab starts — three with Oklahoma City and another with Low-A Rancho Cucamonga — he has a 4.26 ERA with 11 strikeouts and seven walks.

Buehler has yet to complete five innings, topping out at 4 2/3 innings on April 6.

Oh, I have no idea. The FO thought he should be up evidently, so that's their job, I figure.
But, pertaining to Cody, he's really amazing.
    And even fab.

Muncy, the shorter, possum-faced gentile version of Joc. Mr. Three True Outcomes ...

Oh well. It's just a billion dollar off season. BFD. At least the team makes the playoffs, gets run in three straight, and gets to boat, golf, and bowl in early October again. Or Shohei gets to blow his paycheck at the Sphere ... and blame it on the bat boy.
