This one always stuck with me. What a great voice Buckingham had back then.

w Skunk tearing it up, Dias chillin and Walter riding the horse on bass
cameraman should be shot, in fact i'd pull the trigger, for obsessing on backup singers and not giving us more of a brilliant band
case could be made for the greatest solos ever in that song and Baxter being one of the most interesting humans to breath air
totally different band w a great guitarist out front and was fortunate enough to see them perform Royal Scam in its entirety w Carlton at the old Universal Amp
believe it or not half the venue was roped off by curtains in darkness because i guess they couldn't sell the tickets?
at the first notes of Caves of Altamira i was sunk into my seat next to my step daughter unable to hide emotion
    Steely Dan...i just can't

A lot of personnel changes over the years. One constant was the great Kim Symmonds on lead. Best vocalist was Lonesome Dave, not this klutz.

Saw them four times, first time at the Fillmore West.

yeah, i did some follow up after seeing this
there appears to be a bit of truth about what he's saying, but some embellishment as well
    ah the good old interwebz

In a 1998 interview with Marc Allen, Ray Manzarek confirmed that Iggy Pop was considered, along with a host of other singers, to replace Morrison in The Doors. However, things didn’t go much farther than that.

“Well, it was talk. It was mostly talk,” Manzarek claimed. “We never got anybody. We talked about a lot of guys. We talked about Iggy, we talked about Mick Jagger. He already had a band. And then we talked about off the wall – Paul McCartney: good singer and a bass player. Hey, we could get a bass player, so, but that didn’t quite work out.”

Been a treat going over some of these. Unfortunately Anchorage and Boise Idaho not real known for their music concerts. I would have loved to seen led zep - Yes - stones. The only huge band I saw live was Iron Maiden and Jethrow Tull back in the early 2000’s. My mind doesn’t remember the exact date. Other then i watched Smashmouth live at the Alaska fair I might still have my phone video of some of that. Missed seeing Ozzi and Metallica can’t remember why didn’t go to those.
