That inflated max because the cap is going up? I doubt they match that. But I don't want Barnes. He isn't anything special nor is he worth the max.
Harrison Barnes would be perfect for this team actually... good defensive wing, who can hit an outside shot. Excellent. Now tonight was a terrible win, fuck off Lakers
Yeah Harrison Barnes would be a good fit. Sucks that the top 3 guys in this draft are small forwards + the top FA is a small forward as well. I guess it creates a better possibility that they'd come away with some small forward this off-season. Anyone from Ingram to Derozan would work. I wonder if they'll throw their hat in for Whiteside, maybe he'll remind them of Bynum in too many ways Team was destined to get better around December/January, getting their legs underneath them after Scott's training bootcamp. Time for Scott to shake up the tank again, put Russell and Randle back in the starting lineup, get these losses rolling again.
If he's going to put back the tank, Scott better at least give the rookies playing time. Winning games and losing the pick while sitting Randle and Russell is just a bad move all around. Worst of both worlds.
Don't worry, we'll start losing again when Kobe gets back. Whitseide is intriguing, though I hear his d is suspect beyond his impressive block numbers. You'd probably have to throw close to if not the max to get him. Not sure I'd be comfortable with that with the loose screws and all. But if it's him or no center again then him. Very young
Russell and Randle aren't sitting, they're currently playing as many minutes as they were as starters. Starting them again is all about switching up the rotations.
Tough call on Whiteside, or maybe not, maybe they still have their reasons for why they let him go a while back and they won't even go after him? Some screws do look to be loose there. Jo Noah will probably be an easy buy for somebody this summer, good team guy, talent sort of eroding there tho, so maybe a stop gap/mentor type. Yeah Kobe needs to get back in there and help the cause Lol
enough of the tank I'm really excited even though we played two bad teams and another on the rocks as far as needing a center idts, seems the league is going away from that i love the glimpses of defense and fast breaks I'm seeing w the young core as it comes together guys will see their roles defined better and randle and russell will adjust and pick up their d or get left behind never been more obvious we need to put Kobe behind us and Kupchak even came out and said it, sad but true really curious to see if there is any mo going into tuesday against GS
I'd rather see this team play well and win some games, lose the pick and look like an attractive destination for free agents next summer. FA's might join a team that wins 25-30 games and has a promising young core. I don't think anyone is going to be signing up to join Philadelpha west if they only win 15 games. Tanking also doesn't guarantee they keep the pick: with the 2nd best...er worst record, it's only something like 56% they keep it. I really don't like those odds.
true, but PG, SG, and PF are seemingly set going forward. C and SF are the only spots in the starting lineup where we can add somebody.
i guess i meant needing a center in the old sense of the word seems that some of the best teams basically have a power forward/elite rebounder at the position these days
