Andy McCullough ✔@McCulloughTimes Alex Wood also flew home to get examined by team doctors. His condition hasn't improved as quickly as the team hoped. 8:56 AM - 1 Jun 2017 Great. Why can't we have nice things?
It happens when you trade for fragile things. Libertore back to the DL, too. Tightness in his forearm. Dayton recalled.
Serves you idiots right. You have all these so called geniuses in the front office making stupid decisions. Guys like Hill, Maeda, Ryu, Wood and McCarthy are not made to last a full season. You've been lucky they've gone down at different times, but you'll be screwed when they all go down come September October. Depth can only save you so much. Sorry, it's just the truth.
I don't expect Brett's stay with the Cubs to last long. You might need to create a Brett Anderson page.
Not saying that the sternum discomfort is easy to deal with, but the fact that it's not his shoulder is good news imo.
Back in my rugby days (fuck that makes me sound old) I took a hit in the sternum in a preseason game. That fucker never heals until you sit your ass down for a month after the season. Every slight knock puts it back to square one. Just need to keep on playing.
Problem is, the FO/Wood are not as tough as you were back then, you can be sure of that. An injury in the middle of the chest for this guy, with his psycho mechanics, may be more than a mere setback, indeed. I surely hope not,but I don't know if your way will play with their investment. With Mister Blister and his new sister, McCarthy, we don't need any dead Wood.
i like what you did there i'd nominate it as a post of the year but everyone is already whining about the criteria than again, fuck what they think!
Dodgers lefty Alex Wood, who is on the DL with sternum discomfort but was just named the NL pitcher of the month, got some promising news today. As Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times tweets, skipper Dave Roberts says a medical review came back “as benign as possible.” Wood is only expected to miss one more start before he’ll be ready to return.
