    MLB Trade Rumors:
    • It’s possible Dinelson Lamet or Mike Clevinger could start Game 1 of the Padres’series against the Cardinals on Wednesday, Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune reports. It’s fantastic news for the Padres, who saw Lamet go down with right biceps tightness last Friday, while Clevinger suffered a sprained right elbow last Wednesday. At least in Clevinger’s case, it initially didn’t seem he would be ready for the start of the playoffs, but it now looks as if the Padres’ top starters (along with Zach Davies) will be ready when they begin their first postseason series since 2006.

    that’s gonna be my favorite to watch today. Old friends Kenta and Greinke going. Fuck the Astros.
    Also the Twins haven’t won a playoff GAME in like over a decade or something. I think even in the entire 21st century. Not a series, a GAME. So I’m rooting for them to get at least a god damn win

    Yeah, I said this the other day that it seemed like they were being a bit desperate. It is not like they don't have two really good options for games 1 & 2 anyway. I know if this was us and it was Buehler and May, we would probably not see either one unless they were on the cusp of free agency. The Padres are not about to have their window close on them. It is opening and it looks like it will be that way for at least the next 5 years. Wild to me that they would put potentially their 2 best pitchers at risk for a toss up wild card series.
