They way he pitched game 5, CK seems more like Jughead.

I'm a Dodgers fan because my dad was a Dodgers fan. He died in 2013 like right around the time Puig got called up and they went on that 42-9 run. I was convinced we were winning that year for him. For a long time after that, every time my phone rang during the games I'd subconsciously think it was him calling to bitch about some player or managerial decision like he always would. Wish he was here for tonight. Cried a couple times already today thinking about it.

Feel for ya, bud. I've done the same thing too. My pop would have loved this, even though he was from Chicago.

LAD possibly fighting 2 battles tonight..1 against HOU and the other against the section of baseball gods that don't want Joc Pederson to be MVP of the World Series.

my mom and dad rooted for the dodgers but weren't huge fans
they rooted for the dodgers solely because they knew how much i loved them
i remember watching the 9th inning of game 1 of the 88 series at their house
my mom was in the other room doing something and my dad left the room when gibson came out of the dugout saying, "too bad it wasn't a healthy gibson coming up"
i still remember thinking gibby's shot would merely be a fly out... for those who remember, franklin stubbs hit a similar looking shot a couple innings earlier that ended up being a routine fly ball
and then the pause, where time stood still... watching canseco stop and look up into the stands
i ran into the other room screaming "gibson hit a hr!, gibson hit a hr!!!"
my dad in disbelief saying "what?!!!" and quickly changing the channel on their tv to see gibson hobbling around the bases
i don't remember what else was said but it doesn't matter... it was simply the greatest sports moment of my life, and i'm glad my parents were somehow part of it
i didn't cry then because i was in shock and couldn't comprehend all that happened but i tear up recalling it now
so grateful for my parent's selfless love and support
win or lose tonight, i know they'll be watching with all of us tonight
and hopefully we'll have another moment we can all recall nearly 30 years from now
love all you guys [some homo]
    go dodgers!

obviously i'll take a win in any way possible
but my dream would be for andre to knock in the deciding run
    • When Andre Ethier, the longest-tenured player in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, appeared as pinch-hitter in the seventh inning of Game 5 of the World Series, it marked his 50th career game played in the postseason. That set a new franchise record, surpassing the mark set by Bill Russell.

no doubt yu will be out for redemption
and the overlooked gesture from his teammates after his poor game 3 outing and the gurriel incident should not be overlooked
at that moment, he became a los angeles dodger...
