Oh boy. I was SHOcKED that the D-Backs only had a hit up till now. He hasn't hit his spots any time I have watched. Speaks to the talent of this kid that he can get away with not having it. But Kershaw just doesn't look good to me.

Kershaw was a ticking bomb all night long. Not the least bit surprised. It was remarkable the D-Backs had done nothing to this point. He's been pitching like shit tonight. Cannot hit a spot to save his life.

Hasn't really had an ace like start for us all season. Disappointing.

It was one bad inning. But, if it were anyone else, we would be crucifying him.

Yup. Totally. He's not Kershaw. It's simple really. He gives up a lot of long balls now, he is inefficient, and cannot do what he wants with the ball. Tick tick tick in so many starts. These guys aren't afraid of Kershaw, especially that "slider" which is looking pretty bad. Amazing talent to get away with how poorly he actually is pitching. All I have to say.

He should pull out of the AS game to rest his foot even if it doesn't bother him because something is not right.

This is why I don't care for statistics. I could tell Kershaw looked like shit from the 1st inning, all the way to the 6th inning, before he even got into "real trouble". I don't care what the bottom line looks like statistically. He isn't pitching like a cold blooded ace and you can tell by his body language he is frustrated.

I thought we were lucky to score even two runs anyway with this fag lineup out there. The first inning failures of Rivera and Kennedy made all the difference in the world, coming up blank.
On the LAD, most of the time, you've gotta be almost perfect.
BTW, if fucking Wright kidding with his stuff tonite? Wow...

To be honest, and it may sound defeatist, but if we can split this series and make it to the AS game, I will be happy.

the worst we could be at the break is 1.5 back

so i say we're in a good spot regardless. Kemp's due back first game and Ethier too, if not soon after

He got a flyball which should have scored a run if it weren't for a great throw. Hairston had the key at bat.
