Great game by the boys in blue yesterday. Not sure how consistent we can expect Lynn to be, but so far so good. We've taken 2 of 3 which for me means today we're playing with house money. Of course I want the win, but at least a split is already assured. A series win would be sweet though, and the thought of knocking the Padres back in the hole they're trying to climb out of makes me happy.

Graterol's strikeout numbers may be light compared to his pitch speed - that's nothing new. But while a good luck streak may last a week or two, a pitcher can't just luck into a 1.68 ERA this late into the season.

I assume you are responding to me...if you're not, then never mind.
But numbers fucking lie all the time, relentlessly and without abatement. How about Dave Roberts' numbers ? They're great.
Just look at Snell...does the way he pitches merit a CY award ? Not in my world, but all you hear about is his greatness in his 5 inning stints. That's numbers, too ... but imo, they represent a paper tiger. Just my tuppence...
and if there comes a day when Brusdar doesn't get the great play in the OF by Outman or Betts, or the perfectly turned DP with men all over the bases, which he has all year, then what good will his numbers be?
I just have less faith in him when he comes than others do, that's all...and I truly hope my impending disasters hunch is just an old guy's wobbly mistake. And don't lose sight of that previous statement, please.
The LA Dodgers have very good numbers , year after year, no doubt.
How many WS have they won? They're losers.
Presently, they're in first place, best numbers in the NLW.
Do you expect them to win the WS this year?

I don't want to make it sound like I'm teeming with confidence when Brusdar comes in... but I feel a lot more secure than with Vesia, Almonte, and previously Bickford.

Even when he was good, he always looked terrified in the bright lights….just not the type of guy you can count on when it matters most

Gonsolin should get an award for most dead center pitches on the K zone.

I'm still here in the convention center area, and the Pad fans are pouring out of the stadium. So sad.
