    Wanted to keep Seager, too. But with his injury history a long term contract wasn't sound business.

    So nice to get a stable veteran arm for the pen like Hudson. Nice to see someone who comes out throwing strikes.

    Shocked at the production they're getting out of Heyward and Peralta. Don't expect it to last, but those two are picking up the slack left by the slumping rookies Outman and Vargas.

    Heyward especially... OPS is 100 basis points higher than his 14-year average. It's not realistic to expect that to continue, but I'll take it as long as it does.

    Hope his slow start was due to playing hurt, and now the old Julio is back.

    Also, those reports of the pitch clock messing with his head... hope they're exaggerated.
