Good point by Nomar, Grandal could’ve broken an ankle with that mask placement

Jansen walked out looking nervous, like he knows his days are numbered.

Last year we got hot when rookie Bellinger came onto the scene.
    Now its rookie Buehler.
    Lets hope.

With Turner out we should be seeing what Kike is made of if given a full opportunity. He has never been one of these guys that is out there dogging it like Joc. He should be given an opportunity. Toles should be brought back to the big club as soon as his hamstring rest is over.

    3B: Taylor
    2B: Kike
    SS: Seager
    1B: Bellinger
    LF: Kemp/Kike
    RF: Puig/Kike
    CF: Toles/Kike
    C : Grandal/Barnes

That is our best lineup until Turner gets back. Muncy can go kick rocks, Logan can come back to be a backup alongside old man Utley.

Kike has earned the right to be our starting 2B right now. If they going to continue riding with Taylor at CF then Kike is our best 2B option right now.
Definitely should be the starter vs lefties.
earned to be the first man off the bench, to start everyday vs lefties somewhere, for sure in the OF but in the IF if need be, and to be the first guy to start when someone goes down to injury.

    Career numbers as a 2B .290 .343 .476 .819
    Career numbers vs LHP .267 .363 .506 .869
    Career numbers batting 2nd .306 .350 .463 .813

These are all with large enough sample sizes to know that this is his wheelhouse. He sucks in most other roles you try to fit him in.
He produces well offensively when he plays somewhere in the middle of the field, hits in one of the top 5 spots in the order, and is given a steady diet of left handers.
This is an analytical no brainer for the nerds.

i hate to say it but it might be time to sell on the kid
when you see the range of Kike i mean those are plays Corey doesn't get close to
i think he'd still bring something pretty damn good but maybe not at this point

that was as strangely stupid as anything i've seen
like here's something to add to the difficulty of making this play guys...

    Woah. Slow down.

I'm worried about Corey, big time. He always gets fatigued down the stretch and his elbow/back problems seem to be lingering without any explanation from the team. But there's no way you trade him and replace him with Kike Hernandez.

You could probably get a nice set of prospects for Seager, Puig, Joc, Kemp, and Grandal.

    CF: Taylor/Verdugo/Toles/Peters
    SS: Machado
    RF: Harper
    LF: Bellinger
    3B: Donaldson
    1B: Turner
    2B: Kike
    C: Barnes/Farmer/Smith

    :D

i didn't say Kike and i just used him because of the range since it was on full display last night
i'm just not a guy that likes to hold on to the bitter end w players
like it our not he's starting to go sideways
i thought he would be a cornerstone and he still might in the end
but what can he bring on the market?

A little late on this, but thought this tweet was pretty interesting

    UPDATE: After 20 games:

    2017 Dodgers: 9-11 3rd 5 GB
*Cody Bellinger called up next day

    2018 Dodgers: 10-10 3rd 4.5 GB
*Walker Buehler called up the next day #AheadOfThePace

    From @RyanWaltonSBN

Also, I fully expect Buehler to be demoted today for a reliever. Dodgers have a DH on Saturday so they can recall a 26th man and it can be WB even if the game is within 10 days of the demotion. So the club could technically demote him, 26th man him and recall him again without missing a start, though the Giants game is likely his last start for a few more weeks.

lol and right on cue, Daniel Hudson is up and Buehler is demoted to Rancho. Way to not even hide the intent.
