Sorry but those series against the Cockies and Chubs....Kemp and Harriston getting hurt. Guerra still in the closer role....Giants were starting to win some games...Was looking worrisome. Glad I was wrong.
I like TGjr's quotes: ..."Somtimes it's better to be lucky than good." ..."I think there’s something to be said about chemistry.” http://www.latimes.com/sports/dodgersnow/la-sp-dn-home-wins-are-20120512,0,6677829.story?track=rss
Crapuano is 5-0. Ted Lilly is 5-0. Clayton Kershaw isn't 5-0. What world do we live in where this is even possible?
In the off season the Angels made the biggest splash signing Albert Pujols and C.J. Wilson. The Dodgers signed Aaron Harang and Adam Kennedy. The Dodgers have the best record in baseball. The Angels are in last place. Baseball is funny that way.
Crap...we've lost two in a row...looks like a certain 3 actually with the pitching matchup...yet we've not lost a game in the standings.
I'll give you the Arizona game, but we played down to the level of our competition against the Pads. Clayton Richard is 2-5 with a 4.94 ERA -- but 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA against us, and 0-5 with a 6.39 ERA vs. the rest of the NL. We should beat this guy every time.
Homies, I come bearing excellent statistics (all NL ranks): - 3rd in BA (.264), T3 in OBP (.338), T4 in SLG (.405) - T3 in BA w/ RISP (.271), 1st in OBP w/ RISP (.376), 3rd in SLG w/ RISP (.425) - 2nd in ERA (3.07), T2 in WHIP (1.19). Unfortunately as everyone knows our relievers suck: 9th in NL in Reliever ERA (3.69), 10th in WHIP (1.39). Our recipe for success: timely hitting and awesome starting pitching!
