    Wasn't our FO high on Lee last year (for whatever reason)? Just depends on how the new staff feels and how much say the old staff has.

    wouldn't surprise me one bit if Amaro had his people leak that the trade was done to put pressure on LAD's front office to get it done

    I would be surprised if the Dodgers' FO felt pressured by that.

    i don't think they were that high on Lee..from what i understand they tied Colletti's hands together on that because they had other plans @ 2B..Guerrero, Dee. i'm assuming they a different return in mind. and then maybe just wanting to hold on to their high end farm pitching had a part in it as well.

    not me..just look at this forum...thirsting for a move, any big name move. LAD fans want the FO to do somethin..we're " little Yankees " now Lol

    If our FO is influenced by Twitter and news reports in these situations, then we might as well close shop. I don't think these guys were brought in to be pressured by the public, and honestly, I don't think we have ownership that would pressure them to make moves because of the public.

    i mean i'm pretty sure most would be mad if this deal didn't get done..after having no movement for so long as far as signing or trading for impact/starting quality guys.

    i agree. i didn't say they would be pressured..it just wouldn't shock if they did feel it somewhat. it's the 2nd largest media market..that kinda stuff gets used against teams like the Yankees and Boston.

    but everything that they've shown thus far as been nice and cool..cards held tight to the vest. wouldn't shock me if Amaro's guys leaked it though to give it a whirl. why not?

    Lee feels like the right level of player to be included in a trade like this.

    As long as we don't give up too much, I am all for this deal. Improves our defense over Hanley, and gives us a better option to lead off than Dee

    i agree. mostly because he's nothin special. by this time next year Lee might not even be one of our 10 most prized on the farm.

    a 1yr extension wouldn't shock me. he's earned that right and he's still good enough to get it. he likely doesn't wanna move from to place to place at this point and could want more than 1 run with us. great, great locker room/leader type as well..and you know we need that.

    i could see Seager debuting @ 3B at some point next season..wouldn't be " unbelievable " to me. Dodgers think he can pick it up fast.
