Vargas gets the call up from AAA.

can't wait to face him in the WS

 

so i'm guessing the guys we more or less dumped were guys we'd given up on and JT is going on the IL
i'll get over it cause what fucking choice do i have but i think White has a decent career and Lamb>Gallo every time
Lamb was a guy getting hits and sustaining rallies in recent weeks
i wasn't looking for a huge haul at the deadline since the team was playing so well but just subtracting two contributors seems wrong
maybe there was personality stuff behind the scenes but i sort of doubt that
i know White wanted to pitch in the show that's for sure
dude's last performance was solid as any of his this year and he got dumped back down in a roster move or maybe he said something to the wrong guy
feel like we tossed out two competitors

 

yeah Lamb > Gallo but Outman might be better than both. As for White they might like Pepiot over him or it might be a Miller call up. Also remember White is out of options so next year he has to stick with the major league team. If the team was not high on him then he would certainly get yanked in next years rule 5. MGT might have just decided to get something for him now.

 

neither Lamb or Gallo move any needle, so it's whatever. Neither one should be taking at bats away from Outman or Thompson for that matter if they keep doing what they are doing. Miller definitely isn't ready yet, but I believe May is at most 2 weeks out.

 

I'll also take it over anyone's input on this board, myself included.

My issues with LA & MLB are 100% socio-political. These mental midgets fucked up my beloved game plenty, but day-to-day management of this team from Andrew F up is NOT the problem. Letting Roberts continue to helm this squad is a big problem. So, I guess that is Andrew's problem.

Anyway. Fuck it. Getting Soto won't be the diff between this team winning a WS or not. Trotting Belli & Max out there at sub .200 BA, and trusting Kimbrel in the 9th, and refusing to hit behind runners or go opp-field against the shift or play hit & run or walking shitty hitters with a four run lead ... that shit kills me. And it'll keep happening. And Soto wouldn't have fixed that.

So .... here we go. Happy last 55 games or whatever it is.

 

i'm fine w sending Max back out daily and he's definitely swing the bat better
gotta hope Lody comes around somewhat and would love to see him bunting more but he's elite d in CF and w the rest of this lineup under the radar
kimbrel is just getting the ball and hoping for the best w Treinen looming imo

 

Kenley is better and has been better this season and will still definitely close. They just dumped Will Smith, so he's replacing him. But hey, it could make Kenley extra available this off-season...

 

Thinking Toomgis ain't liking the new closer acquisition a whole lot...better check that Afib on that big boy tonight..a la Chapman some years ago...remember ?

Weirdly, I'm pretty confident that dumbfuck Dave will be proved right - I genuinely think this dodgers team wins the World Series this year. I don't know why I think that, and I take little joy from it.

totally agree but i guess it came down to him being out of options next year and the jays asking
