    i know i'm alone when i say i don't want Ohtani
    i absolutely respect the talent and how once in a generation his talent is
    its like having jewelry w a beautiful diamond but its so big its uncomfortable
    everyone wants to see it but the person wearing it feels like a freak
    as good as he is its kind of like a circus act
    i'd rather have Trea and another reasonable star for what Shohei is going to cost
    long term contract and injuries sure seem to be a part of the equation idk

    same reason i didn’t want soto
    the cost of prospects/players is way too high
    would rather go after a free agent or two and of course re-sign trea
    imo a lot more sensible to throw money at a free agent than it is to trade multiple proven and/or prospective commodities for just one guy

    So ... within my lifetime, I'll have seen these abominations happen to baseball ...

    NL with a DH
    Plate blocking outlawed
    Take out slides outlawed
    Four finger intentional walks
    Armored hitters permitted
    Knockdown pitches abolished
    Extra inning auto runners employed
    Pitch counts overvalued
    Gay themed games
    Bondo taking Aaron's HR crown

    And God knows what's next.

    Yet, I 100% support the removal of human umpires. These clowns ruin baseball. Yet THAT change will come last after all these other grotesque changes. Go figure.

    Updates on Bazooka and Treinen.......

    Aug. 6: RHPs Blake Treinen, Brusdar Graterol throw sim games
    Treinen threw an inning on Aug. 6 at Dodger Stadium, his second simulated game over the last week as he works his way back from right shoulder inflammation. Treinen’s injury has been a mysterious one, but he appears to be making significant progress. He is still hesitant to provide any update on when he’ll be back with the Dodgers. Manager Dave Roberts did say, however, that Treinen is getting closer to going on a rehab assignment.

    Graterol threw an inning during a simulated game. He will throw another simulated game within a few days and continues to recover well.

    Never fails. Fatasses like Moronta never hit the DL, but Treinen, Kershaw, and now Almonte look like Greek statues but can't stay healthy.

    think maybe the way things are going they may be erring on the side of caution and giving some guys extra time off in the dog days
    at least that's what i'm hoping cause losing Hudson hurt and Almonte is just a key piece of that bp
