i told the story last year but i go back to sitting at that bar in Mission hills when a large group of Latinos or was it Laotians? where standing behind us
i was just wasting a few minutes grabbing a beer w the gf and offered to move out and we started talking about the baseball game etc while the group got their orders in
one of the brothers asked if i knew who this guy was, and i didn't, and still don't remember but that's not important to the story
he was a member of a White sox team a few years back and an all star as well
i looked him up after the conversation and part of that conversation was about me being a Dodger fan
I expressed my displeasure w davey and we discussed what i believed to be shortcomings without him really doing much but listening
so i ask what players thought about him and if they saw him as a leader or a clown
without hesitation he said "oh yeah he's a laughing stock and no one wants to play for him"...how is that even possible???
guess it really is only about the money for all concerned
maybe that's what's up w all the "no comments" after another failure
and no way any of those players will say a negative word against the first first in Dodger managerial history cause other than a former player in a dark Mexican bar no one will

watching the kid Carter doing it all post for Texas i can't help wondering if a red hot Outman might have helped last year
of course someone would have had to let him hit
analytics guy doesn't believe in the hot hand

Asstros lost the 2019 WS to the Nationals and neither team won a home game. 4 years later and they lose in the ALCS with neither team winning a home game. Crazy

So Corey Segar and Heany are going to the series.
Next October should be an interesting crap shoot to which ex-Dodgers will be going.
It's the new Dodgers fan thing to root for...or to hate.
    We're so unique !

If Bochy doesn't prove that a clever manager is sooo important and absolutely laugh at the " it's not the mgr.'s fault...they don't go out on the field and play" crowd, nothing does.

Dusty is reportedly leaving on his own.

Asstros lose, 49ers lose. Good day all around.

quite the overrated manager but i think he might be trying to leverage himself a raise and a multi year contract
what's he going to do , go home w his wristbands and toothpicks and throw fruit at his wife?

Doesn't sound that bad, actually...although not as financially beneficial.
On the surface though, could be top of the pops !

so dusty (allegedly) retiring, melvin going from the padres to the giants, and showalter (possibly) from the mets to anaLheim…

but no changes needed here, we’re good

    Great post.
The last sentence is well taken, with exactly the same, heartfelt words I feel.
I must admit though, I always compartmentalized it to Dave the Albatross alone, but putting it all together after another failure, it's not the Abatross by himself.
    The flock grows.
