1 year deal is awesome. 4 million if he gets his incentives is a bit much but ned always overpays. dont have much info on the guy so i work based on what i could find. nats apparently wanted him cause he could get both righties and lefties out and he had "an unconventional fastball"

Come on...and Boston is a shell of what it was last year. and then there's COL...do they factor in coming injuries and their joke of a ballpark?
Hell, a little league team could lead the NL in runs playing half their games at that altitude.

Dont you know that Napoli is better than Adrian, Stephen Drew is a first ballot HOFer, Victorino is an offensive spark and Middlebrooks is the next Wade Boggs?

    our lineup has star potential
but still has to prove itself
they're basing on what we didn't do last year
    assuming agon will regress
hanley will continue to regress and play shitty defense
    dre wont hit lefties
    cruz will wake up
    crawford will suck
pretty much up to the team to prove themselves

    meh...
By Zach Links [January 5 at 1:13pm CST]

The Dodgers signed Alfredo Amezaga to a minor league deal with an invite to big league spring training, according to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports (on Twitter). The utility man spent last season with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate.

In 113 games with Triple-A Iowa, Amezaga hit .274/.336/.372 with six homers. The 34-year-old also has spent parts of nine years in the big leagues with a career slash line of .247/.307/.333 for the Marlins, Angels, Rockies and Pirates.

Wow, I'd hate to see Dee lose his spot in AAA...

Don't forget about Belli getting kicked off his Winter team, he's not a lock for the bully.

    Return of the Beard!!! LOL.

Rotoworld: The deal also includes $1.2 million in performance-based incentives. It's a terrific addition to the backend of the Dodgers' bullpen. It's a tough blow for the Nationals, who were said to be the top suitor of Howell and will now be forced to settle for a much weaker left-handed reliever on the free agent market.

I think he's as good as the numbers say he is. He has potential to be great, but he's only shown it for a season and two months. He's gonna put it all together consistently once and for all.

Not been around much and don't know if I have missed this but can someone tell me who we have to back up first base? Will that backup be on the 25 man roster? Are we still looking or what?

Have none yet. Preferably they'll find a guy who can play first and corner outfield. And be right handed.

Still looking but not a top priority, maybe hoping someone takes the job in the spring. Still plenty of bodies out there. Updated list by rank:
