I am now taking Carl Crawford as MY guy. No matter what, I will be his biggest supporter.

I think he'll do fine. His D will be better now that he isn't playing off the monster.

I wonder if they saw Kemp during the All-Star Game, because in in no way should be an analyst of anything. Just hit baseballs Matt.

NO, Harang was more consistantly mediocre. Caps showed he could be way better or alot worse than mediocre.

    • Adrian Gonzalez told Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times that he felt he struggled this season because he was "trying too hard." Gonzalez was even disappointed by his career-high 47 doubles. Also in the profile, the Dodger first baseman discussed the responsibility he feels as a Mexican-American athlete in a heavily Latino city.

Exactly what I thought and I was really worried about the Latino "city" thing. I hope he relaxes and just plays his game. He will be our 2nd best player if he does. He will never be our best if Kemp is good to go and shouldn't think he has too.

Then I, unfortunately, will have to fly to LA and kill him. And, after being an administrator for a while now, I can honestly say that some teachers are pussies.

Dodgers Rumors: Zack Greinke, Jon Lester, Cliff Lee

Will the Dodgers look to acquire a front-line starting pitcher this winter?

Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti told Steve Dilbeck of the Los Angeles Times that the team is going to seriously look into available starting pitchers this offseason:
    • "I would say a starting pitcher is what we’re seriously going to have to look at," Colletti said. "We don’t know what we’re going to get from either players who are either recuperating right now or looking at surgery. We can’t wait until we find out something that you can’t adjust to."
Entering the winter, the Dodgers’ starting rotation would appear to be fairly set. The team has pitchers Clayton Kershaw, Chad Billingsley, Josh Beckett, Ted Lilly, Chris Capuano and Aaron Harang under team control for 2013.

However, Dilbeck notes that Lilly is coming off arthroscopic shoulder surgery which shortened his 2012 season. Los Angeles also isn’t sure if Billingsley will require Tommy John surgery over the offseason.

If LA decides to be proactive and hedge their bets by adding a starter this winter, they have several free agents to choose from. The top arm on the market is Zack Greinke, and while you can’t count the Dodgers out on any player these days, Chairman Mark Walters hinted last week that the club is unlikely to spend big on a pitcher.

If they again go the trade route to acquire a starter, Dilbeck speculates that LA could target Boston Red Sox left-hander Jon Lester or Philadelphia Phillies veteran Cliff Lee.

I think it's amazing we actually have 2 Mexican position players. That can't be common, hell I doubt many teams have one starting or on the bench and we got the starting corner infield spots going all Mexican.

Damn it, they need to go after Shields...but obviously wait until the Rays can't pay for him...and then he's all ours! Bring the CA boy home!

STAY AWAY FROM GREINKE... he's a bad contract waiting to happen...

Lee is good but REALLY expensive... he had like the 3rd best WAR among pitchers this year...
