so sorry to hear really puts into perspective how little the game means condolences and prayers to ck and his family
That sucks man. My thoughts are with him and his family. Anyone know how old his dad was and how he passed?
Sad day for the Kershaw family. Whenever you hear bereavement it's never a good thing. My best goes out to him and his family.
Yeah, I was hoping he was justtending to a temporary ailment of some sort since he wasn't needed until Friday. But looks like the worst prevailed.
Reminds us of just how fragile it all is...how life can turn on a dime and never be the same again. What a difference a day makes.
No. In fact, in the off season he was on a Texas television program promoting his charity. The host said, "We're looking forward to seeing you in a Ranger uniform". Kershaw replied, "I don't think so. I'm happy where I am."
What was he supposed to say, yea fuck the Dodgers. Kersh will get max money anywhere, I wouldn't blame him for leaving.
This thread stanks of negativity. No thread in this dodger forum contains negativity but this one. I wouldn't blame him for going home to Texas. They actually score runs for their pitchers there. His era would probably balloon but he would get more wins. Just my take on the subject.
Oh great, now we're gonna be dealing with this crap until his deal gets done in january or so. Say what you want about him being able to get as much money in Texas or somewhere else (which isn't true), but with Tommy John surgery and other arm injuries becoming inevitable for most pitchers nowadays, I can't see him walking away from signing a $200M+ deal ASAP.
