I always was a big Dee fan and wanting to give him his chance and I'm glad he got his chance. I wish Dee the best of luck in his career going forward, he was a hard worker and a really good guy it seemed.
Vin would get so excited when Dee did somethin. Lol " Deeeeee with another dazzler! " that defensive play he made in the All Star game was top notch
Dee was a good guy. At one point I wondered if he would ever pan out as a MLB bench player let alone an all star 2B, so I give him major credit for what he's been able to accomplish. His jump defensively this past year should not be overlooked. He's one of the fastest guys I've ever seen fly around the bases, just incredible. That said, speed is one of the most overrated aspects of this game, and it makes sense that the new group would value it less than we had in the past. I wish him the best in Miami. For fun... Gordon's 2014 stat line: .289/.326/.378 Gordon's 2014 stat line adjusted for SB and CS: .258/.295/.452
what are the adjusted numbers on Rollins?..just for fun..i don't wanna start a Dee vs. J-Roll war btw, am i the 1st to type J-Roll? let's get a J-Roll smiley..how about a smiley rollin..i dunno..a J?
J-Roll's 2012 season though, BM, if you don't mind..the last time he led off consistently, before Revere got there.
See ya around my little Ethiopian friend. Good luck at home. Glad your grandparents will finally get to see you play live.
Seems like a good guy. Will be missed as a person, but think his days as a productive player are numbered.
I'm just gonna throw this out there...I'd rather see Kendrick lead off than Rollins. Better average and better OBP.
I think Dee was all he could be in 2014 and I ain't talking about the army. I like the idea of selling high but I know we will miss his speed. Class act and I wish him the best in MIA. Poor AJ ellis and his fam. Their son lost his favorite player and AJ lost his everyday job
nah. Howie Kendrick is a lifetime .238/.316/.305 hitter in the leadoff spot. these vet players need to come here and do what they've been successful doing..not reinvent themselves. so far as they know it, they have 1 year to make it happen. and Kendrick is a lifetime .298/.339/.416 hitter in the 5 and 6 spots in the order. also a lifetime .292/.345/.413 hitter with RISP. so not only should he be in position to drive in runs, but we need him to help protect AGon and make sure AGon gets pitches to hit.
