    Yeah, I've enjoyed listening to him and Steiner. Petriello and others were complaining about Hershiser using words like "us", "we", etc when talking about the Dodgers. Was gonna ask your guys' thoughts on it. No one is going to be Vin Scully obviously.

    i get what petriello is saying in theory
    but it's a little ticky-tac to me
    i have no prob with it, and he and steiner are already 100x > collins/lyons

    not to rub it in on you diehards that don't have twc and spring training but this is epic
    lasorda coming out and hanging on the railing for a moment, needing help down and walking the dugout
    then he came out on the field and hershiser says get tommy back behind the railing
    think we will be fine at second with some decent options and lots of em
    not to mention sp
    the fever is high already
    going to be hard to keep me out of the stadium this year i think

    This is true; no one is Scully's equal. Purely announcing the game of BB is Vinny's realm, and he is the man, probably the best ever.
    But, IMO, it is very refreshing to hear that kind if inclusion by Orel, and I prefer it to Vin's adamant "non-homer" approach. I like a little comraderie from the announcers; not full blown, unrestricted rooting while the game is going mind you, like some other jerkoffs, but the possesive pronouns are heartwarming. I'm real good with being a fan of the Dodgers and Orel the same.
    His record with us, although he moved on to this team and that, will never be broken, IMO. I always liked the picher's take on a game, too...it helps you 'see" a little more of the head game within the game of BB...and why it's simply the best game there is.
    Long live Orel.
    I do miss Lyons though... they should have found a place for him...

    The good news is the governor just vetoed the gay bashing law they tried to pass, so restaurant owners can't refuse you service due to your sexual preference.
