I'm glad I missed the last two games of this series. Can't even win games with our two best pitchers on the hill anymore. Pathetic!

I remember when baseball was enjoyable. This team takes all the fun out of Dodgers baseball. Fuck off pls. Good day!

The Dodgers , and individuals on and of the team seem to hold unique places in the realm of basball...a curse, I think, considering what they are.
There is of course, Clayton Kershaw, who is called by many, "the best pitcher in baseball"...with all the accomplishments and the awards, etc., etc. Yet when we have gotten to the point where we needed the talent and the win, at the nitty-griity point...he fails. Or at least has failed in the past.
There is Kenley Jansen, who has the best WHIP in MLB we are told...but I just never feel that confident when he is in there. I always feel like he will do what he did yesterday.
There is Don Mattingly, who has a winning record as a manager, and has gotten the team into the post multiple times, but falls miserably when he gets there. And has made spectacularly poor decisions at critical moments...
There is the FO, so complimented and adored by the SABR crowd, etc., for their brilliance...so the antithesis of the Colletti/McCourt days, when the "cheapskate" was the reason we failed. and when he did spend the money, along with the best of them, we got Schmidt and Jones as the signings. Now we have the highest payroll ever, and are collapsing at an alarming rate. And look historically bad doing so.
It may all right itself this year as of yet, who knows?
But it just seems that the hope and confidence of every spring gets dashed year after year, and we watch others go on to glory. I guess we have to be satisfied with the individual stats and trophy winners.
The "World Champions 1988" T-shirts are getting a little tight...a little washed out and faded...a little like a reminder of something that now seems intangible, almost impossible...highly improbable.
