    If theirs anybody that Haren (and maybe Hernandez) can pitch well against, it's the Padres, they just got shutout in 2 of 3 in Coors Field.

    Randomly ran into the Padres radio color commentator Bob Scanlan on Saturday night and talked to him for about 15 minutes. He said that you can see that the team is dead in the water and is playing with zero fire. Hopefully we are catching them burned out after a bad CO trip and we can steal a sweep from them. I say steal because honestly, we are not well matched up in the pitching department for 2 of the 3 games.

    I know it's still a series away, but we have our matchups for the weekend.

    Ryu vs Bumgarner - Bumgarner has 4.36 ERA at home, and Ryu is at 2.65 on the road.
    Greinke vs Hudson - Coin flip. Both have been solid, not stellar, in their splits and of late.
    Kershaw vs Petit - Duh.

    Good chance to get 2 of 3.

    Btw, I think it's september.

    agreed. i'd add that a sweep would be a steal because we've been around .500 over the last 3 or so weeks. we've kinda been " dead in the water " at times too. but hopefully the Arizona series was a jumping point..dominating them is always a good feeling + Kershaw went crazy yesterday..i think he has to kinda be our heartbeat whether he's pitching or not.
