    From JP Hoornstra:

Q: Does trading for a player who's a rental mean this is a special team?

Zaidi: Well, we did that last year, didn’t we?

Hasn't been announced yet. He was supposed to go today, so maybe Wednesday? Maeda is scheduled tomorrow and Stewart after that, so that would seem to be the likely culprit.

Wednesday probably. Unless they push everyone back a day for him to go tomorrow.

Jesus christ, how fucking dumb are people? I am watching the ESPN summation of the Darvish deal and everyone acting like this is totally out of character for the Dodgers to trade prospects for a rental. They literally did the exact same thing a year ago when they acquired the best available pitcher for 3 prospects, two in their top 10. How do people continually shrug off the fact that Hill had a sub 2.00 ERA, was battling a blister problem, was going to be a FA and yet the club still felt it necessary to move 3 prospects in their top 15 for him and Reddick? The year before, they didn't want to deal Urias and Seager for Hamels or Price and it was the absolute right decision. The farm was weak, they wanted to make it stronger, it is now stronger and they can make moves that don't kill the clubs future.

Sheep..they´re just always pressing LAD to do something on a major scale
To be fair, though, Rich Hill is Rich Hill..best on the market at the time or not, that acquisition didn´t really stike fear into anybody
    Not like this Yu acquisition
Not saying LAD should´ve forked over Seager/Bellinger for arms in the past of course, when the spec is phenom level you keep that kid 99.9% of the time
Which is where Bellinger was headed if he hadn´t been called up early, at the very least Top 3-5 spec in all of baseball, arguably #1, if he had stayed down

And the other great news that almost everybody is overlooking is the fact that we did not trade Yasiel Puig for a plate of meatloaf. :D

Trading for Yu Darvish has me on such a high I'm starting to believe that the Dodgers will find a way to get good results from Watson and Cingrani
