    I don't mind making the game safer, but it's hard to swallow rule changes that crop up seemingly overnight because guys like Buster Posey and Ruden Tejada field their positions wrong. To see guys villainized because the fielder messed up is sickening. That said, I think slides like the Chase Utley slide should be illegal because it took him way past the base, but watching Turner's slide the other day get challenged made me a little sick to my stomach. I know his slide wasn't ruled illegal, but shit just to see something so mundane even questioned makes me feel like the game has made a change in the wrong direction.

    Yeah, that's ridiculous.

    The crazy thing is that they should also be saddled with a big Lincecum contract, but his stupidity let them dodge that bullet. He didn't take the big extension that was offered to him and then started pitching like crap and never warranted that big of a contract again.
