O/U Ruben makes three ten paragraph posts after the game regardless of the result that everyone quickly skips passed and go back to coherent ramblings.
Going to elaborate on this a bit. Kershaw needs to attack this thing as if he really is going only 5, 6 if he's rolling and that the script on him needs to be flipped. Early rumors are that the wind is blowing in tonight and I would bet you that the Cubs are going to attack Kershaw early in the count, not just because that is how you beat him, but because they do not want to see that pen and potentially be behind. Kershaw is notorious for two things, first pitch fastballs in the zone to get ahead in the count and also throwing fastballs in 3 ball counts as to not walk anyone. He needs to not be afraid to walk people tonight if this wind really is blowing in early, but to also get the Cubs off balance with a diet of first pitch breaking balls. Break out Public Enemy number 1 to get some first pitch strikes, use the slider and bury a couple of changeups. Have the Cubs guessing through the first time through the order, then turn it on the way you go about your business the second time through. That should get the team through 5 and probably a high pitch count, but if it gets us the lead, then that is all that fucking matters.
agreed go out and give 5-6 strong innings pitch backwards in some situations keeping the cubs off balance unfortunately kersh will probably be pigheaded and will likely stick to his routine
Looking at the numbers, Kershaw needs to try not to let Rizzo, Contreras and Almora beat him. Naturally those 3 are batting 1,4,5 tonight and each have fucking crushed him. Keeping the ball in the park is going to be the biggest factor for him tonight. He is not a guy where rallies are easy to come by and if he keeps the ball in the yard and the defense plays up to its ability behind him, this team should be in a good position to close this thing out.
This is what worries me as other players have come out and said it. He performs exactly to what the book on him says, except for the adrenaline from these games causes him to flatten out more pitches and lets more FB's leak over the middle of the plate. That is why if he pitches backwards tonight, he can make those mistakes without paying so greatly for them. Would love a big first inning that could take that crowd out of it early. The Cubs really feast off of that excitement.
Kershaws curveball needs to be uncle Charlie not uncle Rico tonight. No hangers and no walks. He does that I’m sure he’ll be fine.
cubs are going to be aggressive looking for 1st pitch fastballs like @ColoradoKidWitGame has said almora will probably hit a leadoff bomb if kersh doesn't adjust his game
I’m looking forward to @BlueMouse and @VRP going head-to-head in the game thread. I’ve got the series 2-2. Big game tonight.
The Dodgers join @MLB by going purple to show support for LGBTQ youth.atmlb.com/2gRKWDZ#SpiritDay Gay. Guess we're on the verge of #3in5 then
This team needs to end this series tonight. It has all the weapons it needs to do just that. Just win is all they need to do, and if they had hit with RISP last night would have done that. Now a bonus would be for them to whoop that ass and win 2 out of 3 in chicago. Beautimus Blue Baby!!! Mr J Beam and I will be watching.
As an amateur meteorologist/GoogleMaps User/Weather.com looker at'er, the wind appears to be blowing in at 7 MPH from LF and could shift to a lighter LF foul pole to RF foul pole breeze as the game continues. It is not as stiff as the last couple of nights, but is still something. Will need to get a hold of it to take it out to LF, so no cheapies tonight.
I've read, and been told by a teacher I had that her Best Actress Award for Butterfield was because she got screwed the three years in a row preceding it.
How much you wanna bet I can throw this football over them mountains? Yeah, if coach had put me in fourth quarter we would’ve made state, no doubt in my mind. And I’d be chilling in my mansion, with my soulmate.
always looking to soften society bullying has existed forever and this just in... it's not limited to lgbtq kids bullies look for weak prey -- so dressing like an emo buttfuck homofuck probably isn't wise and you know how you combat bullying?... you fight back what's next, raising money for some bkitch who had his lunch money taken?
I’m a fan of bullying, if done right. Went to a party the other week and ran into a friend who’s just had a couple of kids and shit, has piled on the pounds. Called him tubby, fatty, punchy all night. Seen on Facebook yesterday he’s joined the gym and going hard. He can thank me for extending his life and feeling good about himself. Fucking fat cunt.
