Wilson and the defense blew it but I blame DBB for throwing that garbage lineup out there. You don't sit half your regular starters. I don't give a shit if it's a day game after a night game

For the record, to date he has hit .286 (vs. career .291) w/12K's in 40 PA's in the playoffs.

Does anyone think that Ramirez, with his bad calf and cellophane constitution, should have been pinch run for in nthe ninth inning with TWO fucking outs...or am I alone on this? I know there was no alternative except Butera, but why not use him?
Leave a guy in there in that spot with a bad calf that has put hardly any time on the field lately? At least try to score the run...better Butera (or even a pitcher PR) is out at home than watching Kemp hit his predicatable can o corn.

anybody (but Gordon) probably would have been out, easy to say now that a play at the plate would have been better

I agree. Not so much for speed purposes since it would have been Butera but it prevents hanley from injuring himself further. And who does that fall on again? The same guy who put that shit lineup out there in the first place then scrambled to put them all in late in the game. Dummy BaseBall

I'm just saying trying to score and giving it a shot, is better in my book, than leaving it up to Kemp, who is pretty bad lately. With a start as soon as Ethier hit it, a slowly developing blooper hit, there might have been a shot. Hanley just trotted into 3b as it was, easily, and was nowhere near at full speed.
And BTW, I said this to myself before Ethier even came up to bat...but thanks for the "20/20 hindsight" reminder.
Instinct is instinct, and I'm not going to hesitate posting about mine, because I think the response will be as yours was. To me, it was obvious.
    Doesn't matter now anyway.
    An L that should've been a W.
    Again.
