Personally I think the focus should be on another starting pitcher. Maybe Stroman.

Not overwhelmingly promising. I like Thor, being Norsey and all that, and I remember watching him with the Mets and hoping we'd get him one day...but watching him now as a Dodger and being aware of his previous recent history, I think the ship has sailed.
    Over that horizon.
Maybe, a slight chance at the bp, but he doesn't look like a get together quickly kinda guy. But that's a possibilty. He needs command for one or two innings. Could be a long man.
Whose spot will he take as starter ? Hopefully not one of the kids, who are all coming along- --all better or as good options as Thor is.
Uh, maybe Urias, if he doesn't get his shite together...but he'll have a loooong leash. It'll stretch all the way to FA.

My guess is that Grove goes back to long relief or gets sent down. It's a shame, because I think he's the better option at this stage of Thor's career.

Then CK returns and another of the kids loses his spot in the rotation. Urias and Gonsolin aren't going anywhere right now, provided no mystery injuries surface.

Probably gave zero fucks. They gave him every opportunity.
    Always had talent.
I think many labor under the supposition that everyone wants to be on the Dodgers. Maybe once, but not now.
Guys came to the team as we signed them, geniune superstars, and eventually couldn't wait until they could walk...let's face it.
Machado, Scherzer, T.Turner, etc. and then the other stars that were home grown like Segar, etc. And we'll see what Urias does. Maybe even Buehler if he gets right.
They've got really good coaches and the FO usually spends good money, and many a player has been fixed for their future by being on the team...but realistically, the Dodgers are losers. And everybody knows it and why, especially the players.
Appears that fans and players want a different result than management does and is satisfied with.

His swing is totally different. Someone somewhere taught him something because he isn't swinging as hard and is making a shit ton more contact, all the contact isn't all of those dumb pop flys, but he isn't hitting the ball as hard but it has worked wonders for him.

I've read a few pieces about Ohtani lately, and in a perfect world I'd rather we wait and try to sign him over the winter (and frankly, Arte Moreno likely has seen to it that us acquiring him by trade is not an option anyway).

He's going to get a huge payday this off season, so why give up a boatload of prospects in addition to that - which would only guarantee us a rental.

MLB Network’s Jon Morosi reports that the Giants are one of the clubs interested if Justin Verlander opts to waive his no-trade clause to join another team.
