Scarecrow has to be the worst manager in the league in reading his pitcher and the need to pull him. I didn't watch today - listened to the radio feed while I was working in the yard. Just based on how Steiner and Monday were calling the action, I knew Miller was done about three batters before Scarecrow did. I mean, when he loaded the bases with no outs I'd have had Almonte up. Monday said that all his pitches that inning were either missing badly or right down the middle. How does it take the manager seven batters with no outs to see that?

Actually glad I wasn't watching. I'm sure they showed Scarecrow a couple times that inning and he just had that braindead look on his face. You know the one.

• Dave Roberts has been doing a decent amount of misspeaking this season. A few weeks back, when Max Muncy got hurt, Roberts said that his slugger suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain. If that was the case, he would’ve been out over a month. Instead, Muncy clarified that he had suffered a much more minor issue, and Roberts apologized for the mistake. This week, another incorrect injury take has come from Roberts. On Wednesday, Roberts said that RHP Dustin May — who’s currently rehabbing his flexor pronatar strain — started playing catch for the first time after his PRP injection. However, on Thursday, Roberts clarified that he misspoke. He said May had not started playing catch, and is still rehabbing his injury six weeks after the injection.
