    Texas-Philadelphia is the best case scenario....still refuse to count Houston out, especially with the return of Scherzer for Texas.

    Safe to say we would've lost to every NL team in the playoffs.

    Diamondbacks game 2 starting pitcher Merrill Kelly said that he doesn’t expect tonight’s Citizens Bank Park crowd to trump a WBC game he played in Miami. These are the sort of moments that Philly fans live for. If providing bulletin board material to a fan base is a thing, Kelly just earned front and center billing.

    The Phillies home-field advantage is real. Since last postseason, they are 10-2 at Citizens Bank Park in the playoffs. There can be real dangers giving Phillies fans any excuse to be petty.

    In a poll taken over a couple of months, Sandy Koufax was voted the number one all-time Dodger.
    I read comments by his contemporaries, and I thought Yogi"s was best.
    He said, " after watching him strike out 15 Yankees in 1963 World Series, I totally understood how he won 25 games...what I didn't understand was how he lost 5".
    And Ernie Banks: " his fast ball rose at you and his curve came in at eye level and wound up at your ankles. He used to put his hands closer to his face when he was throwing the curve and we knew it, but it didn't matter".

    dear andy,
    the difference between the phillies and the team you assembled…
    your team is built for the regular season, while the phillies are built for october
    same goes for the managers
    but the good news is you have far more resources than any other team
    so get your head out of your ass and put together a team that can win in the postseason
