man, this guy is a decent pickup isn't he? A super utility player who can hit? Just not that common. My game viewing this year has been limited, but from what I've seen he excels at any position. Anyone care to jog my memory as to which trade he was part of? I think it was our favourite ginger poster (L.A sports fan) who was excited about him at the time, but I really didn't even give it a glance. Seems like a great move in retrospect.
We got him as part of the Dee Gordon trade. I don't recall everyone who was excited about him, but B2B loved him and wanted to trade several players away so Kike could step in.
Dude is a beast. Really fucking valuable on any team. The Mike Trout of utility players. From what I've seen the guy is solid defensively anywhere they plug him in whether it be CF, SS, or 2B. Hell I bet the guy could man 3B even. Idk his contract status but I hope he's around for a long long time in Dodger blue!
So much value as a guy that can play good D up the middle at all 3 of those positions. Hopefully Peraza ends up being similar in that way or perhaps even better. .496 slugging isn't anything to sneeze at either.
I think a large amount of people were excited about him and, I mean some analysts or wtv even said it's not crazy to imagine Enrique being more valuable then Dee on an everyday basis, just cause of the more power, walks, and ability to play SS/CF His hitting has been so good, and he's been elite against lefties. If his defense gets any better at SS and CF, then man is that awesome. Just about to turn 24 so there's still room for growth and he's still cheap, he might be an exciting Dodger for a long time
...and he does one hell of a peepee dance, too. Kid loves to be out there. Gotta love what Kike and Joc bring to the team. Spiritually anyway.
was going to say but @Bluezoo beat me to it i agree with all the above posts but i don't ever want to see that dance again lol
Damn this kid is so cool. Has become one of my favorites already with his good play, energy level, and rally banana shit.
Wonder how the IF shakes out next year. I'd prefer Turner at 3B and Kiké in his current role as a backup to everyone
With Seager and Peraza coming up, is he a permanent backup? Sounds like a waste. How about 3rd? Or can he be a replacement for Crawford or Ethier in LF?
