Only Jansen? Seriously? Alexander and Madson were Ok? I don't get it that at all. They flat out sucked.
Everyone not named Hill sucked. Everyone who was very good the previous night turned to complete shit last night.
I wish someone could explain to me why you pull Hill while he’s tossing a one hitter?? Maybe Hill was down a tick or two velocity wise, but fuck there’s no way you take him out. He earned the right to continue. Madson hasn’t been the answer this entire WS, but OUR stupid fucking manager marched him out there hoping to get a different results. Genius at its finest boys. I’m surprised that Lasorda didn’t waddle into the dugout and choke Roberts out.
Apparently Hill told Roberts to "keep any eye" on him in the 7th. Still doesn't excuse pulling Hill (no homo) at that point.
I can kinda sorta I guess understand Urias being unavailable because you don’t want his arm to end up detached on the pitching mound. Young, hurt, bright future... but Baez? Why is Baez unavailable but Kenta and Madson aren’t? Wtf are you preserving Baez for and who makes that call? Baez? He’s been a reliever his whole career and should be able, in the World Series, to pitch every damn day we need him.
Almost to the point where I'm pissed at Muncy for hitting that walkoff. Forcing me to watch this train wreck again this evening. Glad I have a fall back in the Rams (now watch them lose to GB) and my 7-1 Fresno St Bulldogs.
All the talk that Boston’s bullpen was in such bad shape after the 18 inning game, but the reality is that we were far worse off. To me, this is even more reason to leave Hill out there. Madson let’s every inherited runner score, but WTF put him out there anyway? Got fucking fooled again thinking that this year might be the year. Sneaking into the playoffs, beating Milwaukee the way we did, the 18 inning win, all lead to false hope. I don’t think I can watch Game 5 tonight.
I don't know why the overwhelming and justified disappointment extends to being away from this website, but I guess if people need to express it that way, so be it. For myself, I can't see myself investing the time, money and emotion again if they resign Dave. As I said previously, they will never win with him at the helm. Resigning him will be to me, a total disrespect for fans and the Dodgers legacy, and those who feel the the FO is second to none, can be warmed by another NLW title possibly and the smugness that comes from that. Been there, done that. The Roberts time needs to be over, just as badly as the Torre/ Mattingly times did. But if it's not, I believe after 63 years a fan, I'll simply have to check in on them as I did when I was younger and had a busy life...not watch every single game year in and year out, as now...the repeated ignorance of Roberts has reached unwatchable status for me. A deeply flawed formula starkly obvious, imo. It pretty sad when the team reaches the WS twice in a row, and the petty victory we carry away from this second chance (undeserved, really), is that we weren't swept.
It would be fitting for Kershaw’s final game as a Dodger to be a loss in a WS clinching game for another team.
Boston scored 2 runs in 18 innings and had 0 runs through the first 6 innings yesterday and ended up with 9 runs lol Alexander/Madson/Jansen/Floro....fuck all of you. The walks were the worst part. Boston had 1 fucking hit all game and we walk 2 guys to set up the Moreland HR which definitely sparked them. Disgusting. Dave never learns. Madson has cleared the bases every single time this series and he did it again last night.
6 division titles, 2 pennants, 0 rings. Changed front offices, changed managers, all the same results. That’s what happens when your ace and closer are chokers
