i literally don't know what to say still flabbergasted by roberts ineptness props to hill and puig, who both deserve our praise but everyone else can fuck off -- especially the pen and i don't want to hear how baez and urias were "unavailable", when madson, alexander, floro, maeda and wood all pitched the night before as well that was seriously one of the most crushing dodger losses i've ever endured right up there with niedenfuer/ozzie, niedenfuer/clark, forster/morgan, broxton/stairs, kershaw/cards, kershaw/cards 2 only worse this one happened in the world series in a crucial game where we could -- and should -- have evened the series and had all the momentum heading into today but now we're down 3-1... essentially dead hoping (against the odds) kershaw opts out his work here is done, (regular season) legacy intact good man, just not a good baseball player come october the prime of inarguably one of the greatest (again, regular season) pitchers ever, wasted good luck kersh, thanks for the memories also hoping kenley retires still has flashes of brilliance but... he's just not the same the confidence and swagger aren't there and knowing personally how heart problems affect you... the big guy needs to take care of himself and his family do not re-sign machado under any circumstances don't care how good a player he is... his lazy, selfish, spoiled, entitled attitude is cancerous fuck him trade/release/don't resign alexander, wood, grandal, barnes, dozier and joc too many hot/cold limited relievers and streaky platoon type players fire roberts offer the job to utley (doubt he accepts) and sign... don't care
Driving to a church right now just to repent for all of the thoughts I've had about Kenley, Clayton, and Dave
CK will leave, and that's fine. He'll probably win it all with another team. That's our fate. Lose Roberts, Grandal, Kike, Jansen, Machado. Sign Harper....get some freaking SP that have a pair. For godsakes, get another closer or 2. Oh wait.....yeah.....blow up this team and wait another 30 years......that is our fate as supporters of perennial losers.
“We've been grinding every day. We've been grinding all year," Machado said. "We've been with our backs against the wall before. Leave it on the field these next three games. It's been done before. We've got to stay positive. We know what type of team we have. I believe in everybody in here that we can do it. If there's a team that can come back, 3-1, it's definitely us." seriously dude, stfu with your contrived bravado
Mention me, I don’t believe but I’m pretty sure I rage wished Grandal dead on here last night so just in case
“You’ve got Ryan, who has a very good track record of getting righties and lefties out, and actually left-handers considerably more, and we just didn’t execute,” Roberts said. “Moreland hit a changeup first pitch that was up, and he got the prior hitter to pop up to the catcher, and he made a bad pitch and unfortunately Mitch took a really good swing on it.” asshole we didn't execute? no, you made the wrong call stop making excuses why you took hill out and take ownership of what you did there's a reason guys like machado take zero responsibility/accountability for their actions... because supposed leaders like you show them the way fuck off
Lol at Hill and his wife virtue signaling and Andy McCullough endorsing it with a retweet. Might be the end for me as a sports fan. Just as I refuse to go to the box office to consume celebrity culture, I am now growing weary of athletes. I just don't have any respect for most of these guys. Not saying I don't respect Hill. What he has gone through in his life and what he has accomplished is incredible. But social media has gotten us too close to the team and we are privy to too much. I do not respect the "journalists" or bloggers who cover the team either. Bill Plaschke is just a typical blowhard, McCullough is a hipster, Shaikin is a pompous jerk, the Dodgers Digest crew are ideologues, etc. The whole thing is just not a fit for me. It is going to take time, consideration and effort to pull this off because I loved the Dodgers like family. But they are not an escape from the real world anymore. They are the real world, but worse. They let me down. None of my family, friends, teachers, coaches, pastors, neighbors, pets, etc have ever let me down. The Dodgers do annually. It is going to feel like a difficult break up or divorce. I'm sure I will relapse starting tonight. But I feel let down in so many ways.
My wife has been trying to cheer me up all day. Saying “At least the Dodgers are in the World Series. Most fans can’t say that about their team.” I’m turning the corner to acceptance, but I might as well put on a brave face and pretend. Gonna crack open a beer and enjoy the game tonight. Maybe we will win 3 straight. Maybe it will be Kershaw’s last game in Blue. A lot of bad things have happened to us as fans. But some good things too. Feeling blessed. Let’s go Dodgers.
Even DT is a better manager than Dave Roberts @realDonaldTrump 17h17 hours ago Watching the Dodgers/Red Sox final innings. It is amazing how a manager takes out a pitcher who is loose & dominating through almost 7 innings, Rich Hill of Dodgers, and brings in nervous reliever(s) who get shellacked. 4 run lead gone. Managers do it all the time, big mistake!
You are very lucky if that's the case. About half of those have let me down big time so I guess the Dodgers letting me down just feels normal.
could be worse we could all be gay... The San Francisco Giants fail to see any downside to this scenario. .
