A lot of giggling and pointing at the Astros after their loss to Boston, but the Dodgers are damn close to joining the Astros on the sideline. Not as funny anymore.
Oddly, it was suggested to me by a neighbor, that the schadenfreude we enjoyed was, in reality, also karma, for Astro cheating, which they "got away with" as far as MLB. And that karma may be cosmic justice on tap for the Dodgers, too, as penance for the actions of Manny Machado. I put up a mild, scoffing protest, and shrugged it off to insignificance. He then reminded me of the $10,000 fine of significance. We'll see...tomorrow's morning dog walk could be interesting should I run into him while he's murdering weeds...or wtv it is he does out there.
never expected this team to go this far before season's end, i said even if we make it to the post we won't go very far but we went a lot further than i expected unfortunately last night was our opportunity, our season ryu shit the bed and roberts predictably reacted too slowly (see yu darvish) and btw he was tipping his pitches -- you could see it with that little fuck arcia and others (again see darvish) not saying you yank ryu immediately, but idk... how about at the very least a mound visit? whatev and fuck machado i never wanted him here in the first place some people are winners, others are like manny bottom line... if you can't put up a crooked number against scrubs like miley and chacin you deserve to lose we've got 4-5 innings to do that tonight, while holding the brewers offense down neither will happen we'll be down 1 or 2 in the 6th hader will shut us down for 2-3 and milwaukee will put up a couple more runs we'll lose 6-1
“I think Walker is prepared for this moment, said manager Dave Roberts about his young starter. “As far as his rest, he’s ready to go. And as far as his heartbeat, the weapons, all that stuff, we’re in really good shape with him. He understands the magnitude of this moment, this game, and he’s a good person for us to take the baseball.”
Chemistry and momentum are easy to see As well as the power of fandom on players and managers live on game day and to a different extent off days and off seasons even. Karma is bullshit but there is of course the power of revenge that may befall you or even justice may find you. Anything that may or may not happen to you coincidentally they regard it as 'karma'. Which of course is just silly foreign nonsense that hindus made up because they didn't know about divine providence. Oh wait...
Pederson LF Muncy 1B Turner 3B Machado SS Bellinger CF Puig RF Taylor 2B Barnes C Buehler P That's our best 8 right now. Glad Taylor gets the start over Enrique
So it comes down to game 7. I won't be watching because my heart won't be able to take it but I have EVERY confidence that Manny will stay slumping, we'll be 0 - 8 with RISP, won't hit a HR and with less than 2 outs and a man on 3rd someone will K. That is how this team rolls!! Go Rams!!!
