    Well, at least lately for sure. I look at it this way...
    Rivera, Abreau, AJ Ellis are all good(as in "above average") 6-8 hitters compared to most teams. We have been shoving these types of hitters into the heart of the order 3-5.
    With Kemp and Ethier, suddenly we have a formidable lineup. Replace Uribe and/or Loney for a legit 5th hitter, and look out!

    Well, Caps just shit on himself. LOOK, Another 1B that can hit the ball out of the park and drive in 4+ runs in one game! Everyone seems to have one but us.

    Let me make a point: We do not consisitently put up crooked numbers because we do not sign guys capable of putting up crooked numbers. Last year we signed Treanor, Rivera, Kennedy, Ellis, and Bard. That was our offensive solution to the previous year's crop of Posednick (sp), Barajas, Thames, Kapler, Velez, and Uribe. But, it still did not fix the awesome grabs of the 2009 FA class: Menkspellingerror, Johnson, Giles, Belliard, Carroll, Ausmus, Anderson, and Amazega.

    Do you FUCKING see why we do not put up fucking runs when Ethier and Kemp go down? Seriously. Why is this so fucking hard to see?

    Well, now we have money to spend. Let's see if Colletti can keep from fucking it up...but it still depends on the FA market too. I'm not confident he will do the right thing. He seems to be better at low payroll moves than big money moves.(Schmidt, Jones, Pierre, Uribe)

    This FA class is not great but there are some decent players. Guarnteed, left to his devices, he will grab the wrong ones. At this point, I have NO faith in Colletti. I am also not a big fan of Kastan due to his comments on Ned.

    Looked like we were dying for the all star break to get here, I know I have been dying for the break. With Ethier and Kemp back, the offense will be much better obviously, but I hope we try hard to add another bat because if those two go down again, what's our plan? And even with them, our lineup still isn't that good to be honest.

    I almost feel like our pitchers are trying to be perfect out there knowing that if they give up a couple of runs they probably lose. Not making an excuse for them, but damn, our lineup looks like one the Great Lakes Loons would throw out there.
