Bob Geren just revealed on @MLBNetwork that Brian Dozier will be at second base tonight with Chris Taylor, Kiké Hernandez and Yasiel Puig in the outfield and Austin Barnes behind the plate. #Dodgers going with an all right-handed lineup against Sale. I don't mind giving Dozier, a shot. But Kike sucks. I'd gladly take Belli's glove in CF.
I'm down with this, I said it yesterday but I do think Sale is a dude you go all righty heavy cause I think our lefties have NO shot against him. Muncy comes in for Kemp, Bellinger for Dozier, and Joc for Enrique. 1 of Freese/Kemp/Enrique will have to play athe whole lineup and I think I'd choose Freese for that
Dozier 2B Turner 3B Freese 1B Machado SS Taylor LF Kemp DH Hernandez CF Puig RF Barnes C There we go. Dozier leading off, so I bet as soon as a righty reliever comes in, you'll see Bellinger in that spot. Dozier leading off is weird but I think he can put together some good ABs
Wow. If some Sox fan is bringing K cards to display for Sale strikeouts, they'd better be sure they're adequately stocked.
Oh he's weird, for sure. May sound a bit looney, but I think that his weirdness/laziness/dirtiness/douchebaggery/psychotic killer complex manifests it self on offense, not defense. What I have seen of him, you'd be hard pressed to get a better fielder. Players like him (disregarding his paltry offensive numbers) come along once in a generation. An arm like Puig in the IF. We'll see how much this all matters to other FOs in the off season.
I wonder if Sale has ever faced a lineup of entire right handed hitters. He looks like a guy who would cry about it
Just turned on MLB Network and of course they have that curly-headed f*** journalist from Boston on the panel. Let me guess...Gammons is next?
Seriously... he has all the talent to take over a series, but he just seems to totally lack the drive to actually do it. I keep waiting for him to go out and mash for a few days, a week or even two, but we have not really seen it. We have been complaining about it here, but even folks that have watched him way more than any of us have, have been shocked that he just hasn't gone on a run to make everyone say, "oh yeah, this dude is one of the 5 best players in baseball." He has certainly been consistent since joining the club, but sometimes you expect a little more from your superstars which he hasn't hit that stride yet with this club and now he is running out of time. We were a game away from winning the World Series a year ago all because of Joc, Machado needs to be on par or better than Joc was for us to have a chance at this thing.
First time in Kershaw's last 199 starts that Dodgers are not favored to win. I like the role of underdog.
