and now the player, brinson, insists he still hears the n word
yeah dude, go ahead and continue perpetuating racism even when it doesn’t exist
if you look for a problem — and sorry, i don’t buy into your not looking for one claim — you’ll find one
and never mind the myriad fans who called in to defend what the accused fan actually said, go ahead and hear what you want
you should be getting chastised and be ashamed of yourself
but i’m sure you’ll be glorified as a courageous victim, greatly handling a cruel act of hate
make sure you let the libs know where to send the money

Well, Duffy is going to the 60-day IL, not eligible to return until September 18.

Glad to see he's fitting right in.

Giants whole team has to be fucking cheating like the Astros did. None of this bullshit makes any fucking sense. Their whole fucking team is having career years at the same time. Cant wait for the reveal in 2023 and Manfred to do nothing about it again

Plan is for Cole Hamels to join Dodgers’ rotation in September
by Blake Harris — True Blue LA — 13 August 2021

The Dodgers need all the pitching help they can get. Their starting rotation is depleted, along with their bullpen. At the moment, they have only four starting pitchers. Well, if all goes right, they could be getting a fifth in a few weeks.

In case you missed it, the Dodgers signed Cole Hamels to a major-league contract last week. The contract will pay him $1 million, per Buster Olney of ESPN. Both Bob Nightengale at USA Today and Ken Rosenthal at The Athletic say Hamels will be paid an additional $200,000 per start.

On Thursday, manager Dave Roberts was asked if there is any update on the 37-year-old lefty, saying he’s currently in Arizona at Camelback Ranch.

“He’s still building up,” Roberts said. “He’s in Arizona. He’s still part of the plan in September.”

When asked if Hamels could slide into LA’s rotation when ready, Roberts said that the team hopes he’ll be able to.

“That’s why we signed him, that’s the plan.” Roberts said.

Roberts added that he doesn’t have an idea on when we can see Hamels go on a rehab assignment. He recently threw a simulated inning at Dodger Stadium last weekend. For right now, the plan is to get Hamels throwing 3-4 innings before they even consider sending him to the minors to pitch.

Clayton Kershaw is out through at least the first week of September and Danny Duffy is out through at least the middle of September as well. Hamels doesn’t have to pitch like he did to win 2008 World Series MVP. If he somehow does, hey we’ll take that. If he’s able to eat innings and be a solid addition to the rotation, the Dodgers could be in good hands.

somethings gotta give in the Bauer situation soon
how long do these Pasadena cops need before they decide whether or not to charge him?
if it was a strong case then he would likely already be charged
can't just suspend someones life because someone said he did something and can't prove it
and he's already said he's not settling anything w cash or whatever
no way i believe the guy beat her like those pictures show
cmon pasadena put up or shut up

innocent until proven guilty disappeared about the same time facebook and twitter came into existence
go ahead and assassinate someone's character and completely destroy the ability to work/earn
you can worry about proving your accusations true (or not) afterward
not sure of the credibility of this publication, but if the shit bauer's attorneys are alleging is true...
then this bkitch needs to go to prison

Trevor Bauer accuser ‘edited her sexual assault injury photos’ and ‘lied about having a fractured skull’
Lauren Fruen and Katy Forrester | The US Sun — 12 Aug 2021

Trevor Bauer's alleged victim has been accused of editing her injury pictures and lying about having a skull fracture by the baseball star's lawyers.

The woman - who has been identified as Ms Hill by her lawyers - is said to have "deliberately mischaracterized her medical records" and "given a misleading impression of her injuries," according to new court documents.

In the court documents obtained by The Sun, Bauer's lawyers state pictures of her cuts and bruises "appear to be edited or filtered in a manner to give a misleading or false impression of her injuries."

They also claim she "she deliberately mischaracterized her medical records to obtain maximum media attention."

The legal document adds: "Despite CT scans showing no fractures in her head, face, and neck...petitioner nonetheless stated in her affidavit that she had 14 “signs of a basilar skull fracture"...when she definitively knew that her own CT scans had ruled out any fracture."

The Sun has contacted the alleged victim's lawyers for comment.

Bauer’s court docs also allege that messages said to have been sent by Hill appear to show she also told friends how she wanted to end Bauer's career.

“OKAY SO,” the accuser allegedly wrote. “Monday, my attorneys notify trevor, his agent, and the dodgers manager that we are filing a civil restraining order. THEN. tuesday the restraining is filed. And it will be picked up by the media. And his life is ~over. THANK YOU GOD. FINALLY”

The person that she was texting responded writing “F**K YES FINALLY!!” to which the woman responded “LETS F**KING DO THIS S**T”

The accuser then went on to say that she “might literally have to hide” at her friend's house, according to the documents.

Bauer has been accused of sexually assaulting the woman but has aggressively challenged such accusations, claiming all encounters were consensual.

His lawyers have said "no settlements or cash offers have or ever will be made."

    'NO CONSENT'

The new documents were filed by Bauer's lawyers as part of their attempts to deny a request for a permanent domestic violence order ahead of his August 16 hearing.

In discussing the restraining order they add: "[Bauer's accuser] has taken a proceeding designed to prevent future acts of 'domestic violence,' and turned it into a tool for attracting media attention and attempting to end [Bauer's] baseball career."

The woman also allegedly texted her friend that there was hope he'd "offer major cash in settlement."

In a separate screenshot of the messages, the accuser's friend asked if she was watching "the game."

"Omg im in breathwork," the accuser responded, according to the court docs. "BUT I SAW BAUER IS GETTING F**KED i have updates on that. His life is over on monday. Hes done."

    'HE'S DONE'

The accuser then allegedly sent a string of messages appearing to call Bauer a "f**king c**t little b***h" before going on to explain a conversation with her lawyer.

"Our f**king retainer for our new lawyer if 25,000. What in the F**K. Its so sad. This is why this s**t never gets reported," the accuser wrote. "F**k the justice system. They think hes gonna try to settle with me offer me major cash then make me sign an nda. "

It comes just one week after the woman encouraged the publishing of an unredacted image that she claims displays the horror injuries she suffered at the hands of the pitcher.

The alleged victim’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, asked TMZ Sports to publish the photograph, which was later obtained by The Sun and appears to show the woman with two black eyes and her face and lips swollen.

On Thursday, Freedman said such injuries could not be caused by a consensual sexual encounter and that the alleged victim and her family had requested the photo be released.

He said: “Look at this picture. No one – absolutely no one – can consent to this, logically or legally. Trevor Bauer’s team continues to try to abuse an assault victim. They need to stop. Now.”

    STAR PUT ON LEAVE

Bauer was put on leave by Major League Baseball on July 2, after the woman received a temporary restraining order against the pitcher and her assault allegations became public.

In response to the released image, Bauer’s attorneys, Shawn Holley and Jon Fetterolf, told TMZ: “Unlike Mr. Freedman and the woman’s legal team, we are not interested in trying a restraining order petition through the media.

"Relevant and previously omitted messages from the woman were attached as an exhibit to a routine motion to strike a so-called expert the Petitioner has proposed to testify on the issue of consent.”

The baseball star’s legal team also accused Freedman of violating a court order by releasing a photo “the court previously ruled was to remain private. They have since retracted that photo and circulated one that is inconsistent with other photographic evidence in the case.”

According to the papers, the woman said that Bauer choked her unconscious and then abused her one night in May.

She also claims that, during an earlier encounter in April, Bauer sodomized her without her consent, according to court papers.

    not good news on mookie
many speculating surgery will be necessary

    Dodgers Nation✓@DodgersNation
Apparently Mookie's injury is a "bone spur tied into the hips" according to Dave Roberts.
He received an injection for the pain and it seems to have subsided. Still no timetable.

Aside from the sweep, the no- no Dback kid Gilbert's father 's reactions was absolutely the most glorious thing I saw. Just awesome.
Pure joy and the best that life can give.
May he do it again against the Giants...
