    starting a gimpy and unproductive peralta instead of postseason-proven kiké or taylor is just stupid
    and the fact that he should be more familiar with ct3 and kiké shows stubbornness and arrogance
    really wish the giants would have asked permission to speak to roberts instead of melvin
    then again, friedman would have probably vetoed it

    The postseason should not be more than 4 teams, tops. balance the schedules out or whatever, the 84 win Diamondbacks did not come close to deserving to make the playoffs.

    The bye was supposed to be an advantage for teams that play the best during the season but all it does is ice those teams. The format now consists of teams that are in rhythm and carrying over lots of momentum from the WC round playing ice cold teams that have been idle for way too long

    So incredibly stupid.

    This isn't football. A long lay off does way more of a disservice for a good baseball team and teams like Arizona enter a series battle tested and full of confidence.

    I was fine with the 3 division winners, 1 WC team format.

    Matchups start immediately and with 1 wild card, you don't have a team like the 2021 Dodgers missing out on postseason play.

    1 is plenty and all the added teams is unnecessary

    I will have zero optimism for the future of the Dodgers as long as Roberts is manager.

    They can go 130-32 and set every batting/pitching record known to man but I won't give two shits knowing that they'll just roll over in the postseason.

    That's Dave's legacy as Dodgers manager: Great teams playing bad in the playoffs. Nothing will ever change
