This is good move IMO. Ricky is solid even though he's been pitching like shit. I'd rather have Kershaw in game 5 if necessary than Greinke. Give me 6 innings of 3 run ball and I'm ecstatic.

We are bringing a lot of momentum into this game. Offense is hot, and our hitters are as confident as they've ever been...don't think we'll need Ricky to be too good tonight.

This is a must win now. I'm not a fan of having Kershaw three days, starting/

Even if disaster occurs and we drop this game, we'd have Greinke available to start game 5 on full rest.

its not that bad... he will be ready for game 2 of the series championship... and if they win today, they go Greinke-CK...

I do hope they blow the game open against Freddy so DBB can pull CK after 5 and send Nolasco in...

i don't like this decision at all
almost reeks of panic and desperation
would much rather have kershaw pitching on regular rest
ready for game 1 of the nlcs
or game 5 of the nlds, if necessary
    in fact...
    • Kershaw has started 183 career games and none of them have come on short rest. He’s made 103 starts on four days’ rest, 61 starts on five days’ rest, and 18 starts on six or more days’ rest. And in those 18 extra-rest starts Kershaw has a 1.91 ERA.

This is so stupid. Having Kershaw pitch against FREDDY FUCKING GARCIA. No words. :banghead:

Not a fan of this at all. Too much risk throwing Kershaw on short rest after his last outing where he threw over 120+ pitches. I am going to have a hard time enjoying this game tonight regardless. Can't we just get Crash Davis to come along and get us a rain out?

I can see both sides to why we should or shouldn't have Kershaw pitch tonight.

Just win. That's all I can ask.

I hope offense scores 10+ runs in the 1st so we can take out Kersh.

Please don't let this be another Donnie overthinking moment that will backfire.

    That's the best case scenario.
