This is so dumb. This feels like Mattingly doing something retarded to make sure they win the NLDS and he keeps his job. Nolasco-Garcia is still a huge mismatch in our favor, and we need Kershaw for game 1 of the championship series. I dont get this.

Wish I could help but Time Warner doesn't do it for whatever stupid reason.

But I can probably get you a link via vipbox.

There is no Game 1 of the Championship Series if we don't win the NLDS. Kershaw will still be in line to pitch 2 games in the NLCS. This announcement gave me goosebumps.

The more I think about it, the more I realize this is the right move.

Even if it fails it's ballsy as hell. Don't blame Mattingly for wanting to win at home.

so if kershaw loses tonight and greinke can't shut them down on wednesday is it still the right move?

    Absolutely.

Make them beat Kershaw AND Greinke again. If they can do that, they're a better team than we are.

So you're saying that Nolasco and Kershaw would be the right move over Kershaw and Greinke?

Yes because we did everything we could do to win. Anyone that can beat Kershaw or Greinke twice in a 5 game series deserves to win.

    not saying that at all
    read my posts
just not sure starting someone on short rest -- who's never done it before -- is the right move, especially in such a big game
as good as greinke is, who would you rather have on the mound wednesday in an elimination game, him or kershaw (with extra rest)?
again... kershaw has started 183 career games and none of them have come on short rest. he’s made 103 starts on four days’ rest, 61 starts on five days’ rest, and 18 starts on six or more days’ rest -- and in those 18 extra-rest starts he has a 1.91 ERA.

I like the move, you win or you lose with your best and we still got Grienke, fuck Atlanta:finger:
