    FWIW, I'm going to TRY to stay in the shadows until this series is over. Partly due to superstition - the Dodgers played their best ball down the stretch while I was staying out of game threads and/or DSP was down. And partly because that's how I can best continue to protect my psyche from the inevitable DEI Dave aka "Scarecrow" (just 8 more

    Andrew Friedman said the Dodgers are flipping Jack Flaherty and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in the rotation. Yamamoto now going Game 1. Flaherty will go Game 2. Friedman said it’s so Yamamoto can be available for Game 5 on an extra day of rest (as he’s gotten for every outing this year). ​

    Interesting that Dodgers/Yankees is the #1 match up in WS history. Didn't know that. Dodgers are 3-8 against them. That sucks.

    And I blame Lasorda for the 1978 loss. No reason to lose game 5 ... starting Hooten was stupid. Letting him get shelled early & not pulling him was classic Scarecrow shit.

    I know this was already discussed a few days ago, but the series hasn't even started and we are already being fucking dumbasses.

    Swapping Flaherty and Yamamoto to "create more options' IF there is a game 5, is quite literally the most moronic thing I've ever heard and is the exact reason why this team is not successful in the post-season. Play to win the game now you fucking assholes, game 5 won't matter if we're not even there.

    Yamamoto can't pitch on 5 days rest, so you switch him to game 1, so that he'll be on 6 days rest and Flaherty will be on the normal 5 in a potential game 5?

    How about you go with the more dominant guy in game 1, that hasn't been rocked by the Padres this year in both of his starts, and also use him in game 5 instead of having the option to start Yamamoto or use both?

    This front office is so fucking dumb, it's wild. I'm truly at a loss for words.

    Also, we're going to have to hit A LOT in this series to win.

    They've basically got the edge in every starting pitching matchup. You can make the case that Flaherty and Darvish is even or slightly leaning towards us, but Yamamoto, Buehler and Knack are all very bad matchups for us.

    Knack needs to be some sort of Bob Welch remake to be successful. Not likely, but prayer might work.
