Nice to see some actual hardball baseball in the 6th inning. LA will likely lose this game anyway but seeing Anderson shove that Cubs runner after the kid tried to bulldoze him when he was clearly out ... that was refreshing to see.
Anderson has slowly been coming back to earth, though. Recently, I felt he was more and more becoming...well...Anderson. Nothing radically bad, but less dominating than earlier in the year, for sure. Muncy is, except on very rare occasions, a big hole offensively. It's a damn shame...he was feared, indeed, but he doesn't look like he's " rounding into shape" like...uh...Kimbrel is. In fact he is about as sporadic.
Me too. I mean, MLB slowly began this emasculation of the game years ago .... The Posey (pussy) rule, the takeout at 2B violation, the universal DH, the body armor (started with Bonds if I recall) ... but seeing a guy play like it's a high school rivalry game .... it's rare.
That whole two run inning was set up by that perfect bunt by Morel, imo. And that PB by Smith just set the table for Happ. Oh, and the All Star game starters suck the pipe tonight.
That 3-0 strike call....holy shit man. Where do they find these fucking morons? Thankfully he walked anyways
