Would it be inappropriate to say that when I was young, she used to make me feel all funny and tingly inside when I watched I Dream of Jeanie?
Thank the lord that a Bolsinger start has zero meaning to it. I mean, we can still get homefield, but the Mets are 1 up and have the tiebreak. It doesn't matter where we play as long as CK and ZG pitch like they normally do
Kershaw vs the Mets this year: 16 IP, 1 ER, with 18 Ks and 2 walks. Threw a CG shutout at Shitty Field. Greinke vs the Mets this year: 14 IP, 2 ER.
Who do you all think we start in game 3 at this point? I have a feeling it'll be Anderson, but think I might slightly prefer Wood.
Interesting. You know, their numbers are so similar this year from an overall standpoint. Looking into the matchup specifically, though, it looks like the Mets own Wood's ass and that Anderson has never even faced the Mets. Anderson is however giving up a .290 BA against at Dodger Stadium with like a .750 OPS...Wood on the other hand has been great in his career at Dodger Stadium. Basically, it's gotta be a close call. If it were up to me, I might go with Wood as well and give him the tie-breaker based on his future with the club...maybe it's a start that could build him up going forward? I don't know. Again, the Mets have feasted on Wood, but that was over in the NL East. Tough call. I guess I'm assuming we're starting on the road as well.
a lot depends on where we are in the series (2-0/1-1/0-2) after two games and whether game three is home or on the road
That'd be hard to believe, his service time just started last season so I think he is around for a while unless the team finds a deal and moves him. Though he hasn't been great lately, he is a big reason why the team is sitting where they currently are. Not easy to find 6,7,8th pitcher in your system to come along and pitch to the tune of a sub 3 ERA for his first 20 or so starts.
Forgot about his little service time. He'll probably be the next Stephen Fife next year. He was indeed big for us this year.
Yeah he's had a rough stretch but we've seen how valuable it is to have a guy who can be brought up and down and not suck complete ass. Hopefully he's more first half then second half Bolsinger moving forward
How awesome is it that Corey Seager has been taking big ABs for us in September and will continue to do so in the postseason? Didn't seem possible a month ago.
